Default $600 88 Gt to LX Turbo...lots of work

Little background, I sold y 95 to start a new project and picked up a running 88Gt for $600. I sold $550 worth of stuff off the car that I wasnt using. I ended up with a complete roller for $50 I've had the car for 4 months and been working hard.
the setup is...
Stockblock 302 (with new moly rings and Clevitte bearings)
Ported E7's with the crane spring kit
E303 cam
TFS trackheat U/L
and 70mm Turbo kit
Heres some pics as she sits in the garage.

That Maroon top has to go...

4Lug Y2K's...pretty rare. 18X10 and 18x9. I think Im having them powdered black except for the polished center part. anybody good with photoshop I'd like to see it. I could send a better pic if needed

Welded the old holes from the GT stuff and started the filler

Same with trunk lid but its in primer. Only rust on the car was where the brake light was

Here are a few motor pics. As soon as I get a water pump, Ill install the march alt and ps setup I have. Have a Romac balancer ready to go and pulleys. Let me know what you guys think

Still in the mock up stage and a lot missing

70mm with .68 exh. still need to wrap the crossover and downpipe

I think im missing something back there....its gonna be a 5 speed car

Will be a long project as Im on a budget but should be a stupid street car when all is done.

Looks good, you'll be happy with that combo. What kit is that?

Sounds good Jeff, but lets drop the wrench and grab a sander....
I hate body work.
My goal is to start the motor by March 5th. It will only have the bell and flywheel attached but should idle and be able to set the base tune with Moates QH. Im assuming it will be fine to idle with the flywheel and bell attached without the clutch and trans....or would that be out of balance?

Forgot to answer....Its a barely used On3 kit I picked up for $800 ($1100 with the TFS intake) The headers are ceramic coated and the turbo doesnt have any play, so I figured it was a good first turbo kit.
If I really like the turbo mustang scene.....I'll buy a BG kit to go with the 325 Eagle kit Im not using.

For what its worth you wont gain anything by buying a B$G kit. Just upgrade the turbo on the kit you have if you wanna go faster. And IF you like it? Turbo's are like crack!

turned a few wrenches this weekend. Got the acc. mounted and started fitting my FRPP radiator and Mark Viii fan. It gonna be a pain to fit the fan, but everybody tells me it will work. Also, tore out the dash and changed the pedals, wired the mass air conversion, tore out the heater core, etc...

Heres some updates for you.

My tensioner rod is way too long. I hope its threaded all the way through cause Im cutting it this weekend.

The fan setup is gonna be REALLY close ( if it fits)
