My 85 Coupe Project.....
20 deg at by 12.5lbs of boost..... Still running just short of 13psi and still on pump 93..... I think I could be a little more agressive with the timing but I don't want to push the issue..... I am not sure what the next change will be yet.....
How about a .96ar? And it would be nice to see a tranny brake. I'd hate to see you do much more to your engine...that whole stock thing is cool.

I am getting fuel and water in the oil..... The relatively thin deck surface on the E7 heads and no longer holding there sauce since I'm now turning it 6200 instead of 5600, so it's time for some new new aftermarket heads.....
Performers or AFR 165 should get you where you want to be Frank. Anything bigger and I think you'll give up low end torque for high RPM hp (Plus it might push the limits of the block). Since your not wanting to push it much beyond where you are now,.. I think a 165/170cc head should be perfect.
You were running really good with those E7's (They flow what,.. 140 CFM stock?). I really didnt expect you to see the MPH your seeing. I figured low 11's max. I had AFR 185's on my 306 with the Vic Jr intake. The cam was a Comp NX274HR rated to 6200 RPM. But with the huge intake ports (I had to trim Fel Pro 1265 gaskets to fit the ports) there was not enough velocity until after 4500 RPM to make the HP I was looking for but was still pulling strong even at 6500 when I let off. Ran a best of 12.33@111 NA with roughly 3600lb race weight.
With your Turbo I think something like Vic Jr or AFR 185 heads will put you beyond the limits of the block. John and Wendy made something like 570hp with theirs on E7 heads before they blew a head gasket,.. but with a bit more boost than what your pushing. I think blowing the head gasket saved that block

At the 577 we had TW trackheat heads. I think they are a 170 runner. If you go afr (i think a better head) the 185's with not work with stock pistons. Turbos make up for small heads, 165's would be nice.

Thats true,.. I forgot about the 185's not working with stock pistons. Same story with Vic Jr's. IIRC the Twisted Wedge are the only ones with the 2.02/1.60 valve combo that work with stock pistons.
I always thought it had the E7's on it when you guys ran at Dead Hookers that time. I still have the video somewhere. Was sick looking coming out of the hole all contorted from the torque.
Performers or 165's should put him at the ragged edge of that shortblock with what he has now.
I'm dying to see this motor put that car in the 9's.
