That way you can do it all yourself like a real man! Shouldn't cost ya but $10,000 or so.
i prolly woulda used a saw zaw or some tin snips over an expensive plasma cutter for cutting thin sheetmetal, mig would work fine for this as well over a tig, breaks actually bend metal at a sharp angle, not a radius so im not sure what you would use that for unless your doing some HVAC work on the side to fund the 10k budget needed for these tools, and im not sure where a tubing bender would be used to put in some tubs....
Anyway im not trying to start shit, i wasnt making any sort of attack on anyones "manhood", nor was i bashing anyone in anyway. i was just saying, personally, it is more impressing to me seeing people run fast on a budget over spending major cheese on extravagant trick parts and paying someone else to build "your" car.

this is true. i can remeber a while back D.S.S. actually advertised like a 20-30 hp increase just by switching the block! im not sure how they did that except for same major decking and upgraded oiling maybe. but i didnt keep that block long enough to do any damage.

Lumberjack, you can't mig weld a chrome moly cage, and you can't go faster than 7.50 with mild steel. Breaks are perfect for 90 degree angle stuff, like where your tunnel reaches the floorpans or the firewall.

You can only go so fast doing it yourself with snips and a mig.

mig and tin snips FTW!!

i was unaware we were talkin about putting in a chrome moly cage, i thought we were talkin about tubs, im slow...
and using a break would be alot easier than the rubber mallet and corner of the workbench i prolly would have used to turn the angle needed to meet the tubs to the car the mallet would have been cheaper though. now let me go run and grab my NHRA hand book so i can start throwin out some FYI facts too

aaanyway, again, not trying to start shit, just trying to pass the day along. cheers!

Now lets get something straight----- Adam built this car from a bone stock mustang in his shop, after working his concrete business all day.Almost two years of time went into his car, and he did most of his engine assembly buy himself, and for his effort it ran 9.04 at 154 m.p.h. at a test at Orlando last December. Now if people want to hate that, so be it. But its time now to kick it up a notch or two, and with help from Rob and Joe from Ford Speed, Chad and Cory and Walt and Archie from Reel Speed as with his first build , I am positive he will reach his goal. Now if you want to know how I know so much about his car, well I am his father, I saw it all from begining to the end. And there is nothing wrong with having some work done outside or having it all done outside , if you can afford it---so look at the positive side instead of the negitive side, just enjoy your hobby and my mother always told me (I you do not have nothing good to say ----say nothing at all)

noted. and im assuming this is directed torwards me....and once again......i did not mean to start anything. i made a simple statement in fun and it was absorbed by a single person that turned my words around, or at least the meaning. i have met adam a few times and bought a few items from him, including a stunt bike that i beat the living piss out of,and i am certainly not knocking him in anyway whatsoever.
