My buildup progress.
Been off the radar for a few weeks. What trans and who is building it? What did you decide for lifters?

It's a SilverFox transmission. He comes highly recommended. The transmission is a 4R70W with a man v/b w/brake and I'm going to chance a lock-up setup. I've been a little indecisive on a few things but this is the latest. Dan has put up with it thus far with no complaints!
As for the lifters (Still probably going with FMS), I decided to save the money and spend it on the trans/converter and get back to the lifters, girdle, valve covers etc. and stuff later.
So, are you staying safe over there bro?

Sounds like a good plan to me. I would love to have a lock-up t/c. It should really trap some mph. Can XFI control the t/c?
I am going to be done with this contract in early June. I want to fish the Tarpon Roundup and that means the cars will be neglected all summer.

I hear ya, it's been a long time since I've done any salt water fishing.

I prepped, primed, seam-sealed and painted in between the frame-rails where the new metalwork is and also added undercoating to the tubs. I didn't get any pics of the finished tubs cause I was too lazy to take the wheels off for pics.

And a pic with the hood on. I am suprised that the hood shut with the intake sitting on. It has to be super close under there, it's hard to tell how close it is. It may touch with gaskets on. The true test will be when the tranny bolts in and if it tilts the motor some.

I might see about lowering the rear of the car a little more, but I'm not sure how the clearance between the axle tubes and frame rails will work if I go any lower. I don't want the two to hit if I go over a set of rail-road tracks or a dip in the road or something.
