yes this is done all the time, repalacing the head gasket with a thicker one reduces compression when going over 10lbs of boost

to solve all the debate on what a stock s2k motor can handle. this is a 600hp S2K running an all stock motor with a 72 trim turbo and 1000cc injectors. even though the guy does state that it has been up too 701hp before. the guy is from Louisiana.
