Any FI guru's have views on this?
Hell, I think your problem along with a few other people here is wanting too much from too little.
One of the rules they taught me at my family's shop is that anything more than 2HP/CuIn is going to be trouble. A lot of people here are verifying that fact so I'm planning on keeping it concervative.
I will be happy just to get 400 HP at the back wheels, whereas it only had 400 at the crank when I bought it. Just in case though I will be adding a large enough supplemental injector to take me up to the low 500s if the cams and head work will easily allow it.
That will not be too much of a push for 3.3 L. I can't afford to break my crank or engine cases, but everything else ie pretty much expendable.
With all that and a lower gear I hope that the 1/4 mile time should become very respectable. With most of my weight on the back wheels it should be interesting.

Its clear to me that you just like to argue..but it should run better with a 12 to 1 ratio.
