Default Hardware question?

What would be the best hardware to use for keeping the downpipe secured to the exhaust housing of the turbo? It seem like every other week or so I have to tighten it back up because the bots are backing themselves out.

Thanks in advance.

You need to weld a bracket onto your downpipe and make it to where you can bolt that onto the motor somewhere, like the factory exhaust headers are on most setups. your exhaust moves ALOT since its held in place with rubber mounts, so limiting the movement will decrease the chance of the bolts comming loose.

BTW also make sure you have a good set of exhaust grade bolts to work with as most other bolts expand and shrink to much and will back themselfs out very quickly. Any exhaust shop will hve the bolts in stock if you dont already have some. Hope this helps and G/L with the setup

^^Kinda old thread. But the only problem with loctite is the fact that is doesnt go good with 1200 degree heat, I have seen loctite actually run out of bolt holes on exhaust parts like wet glue when heated up. Again a bracket and good exhaust bolts and it will never come loose again. do it right the 1st time or do it time and time again
