goods and bads of WRX's
ok well I'm looking into getting a WRX or STI at the end of the yr (around 20k) and was wondering the good things (besides awd, turbo) and the bads. so tell me sumthing!!! lol

well it all depends on the price, if its only a couple grand difference then im not gunna cheap out on the WRX, ill go STI, but whats the goods and bads, such as shit breaking, weak components, things i should know before i buy either

$20K ?.. not gonna find any STi's in that price range i dont think.. unless its a mistreated 04.
Go the WRX TR. For minor mods (take off STi turbo, topmount, 3" TBE and a tune) you'll be about 300 awhp.

yea but tr model tranny is weaksauce... basic difference between sti an wrx for 06+ is pistons, turbo, tranny... all of wich the wrx is weaker... few minor things with motor drivetrain i can't remember... but those are the biggest

boxer sound
factory turbocharged
AWD
lots of available mods
STi tranny and brakes
cons:
Insurance is bad on the WRX and even worse on the STi
all 5MT's not as bulletproof as the 6MT
some paint problems

I just like to say! both cars are very good... beside the wrx transmission being weak! i havent had any problems with mine. You can dump $1,300 into the tranny for some ra gears which will be good for about 325whp. But it all depends on how much money you can spend for a car! if you got the money for a sti... then get it! BUT id rather have a wrx beating up on STI's hahaha....
