Since there is little to no activity in this forum I though I would post here.

Lets play pick a turbo for Aaron OK?

Frank 3

Frank4

Frank 5

Frank6

I am thinking Frank 4 at the moment. Or possibly a custom made T3/T4 from majestic...I dunno have to wait and see how a certain someones turns out. I change my mind on almost a daily basis. It seems the Turbo is the only thing different that is done the rest is just basics. IE 3 exh. fuel control intercooler etc.

Majestic = BAD
CMR Turbos = GOOD
813-978-8872 tell him I sent ya.

His prices are better than Majestics and his services for turbo rebuilds are unmatched for turn around (like while you wait!). He also has a large selection of turbos in stock. Give Charlie a try you wont be dissapointed.

I have never heard anything bad about Majestic. What is the problem with them? They seem to be a bit slow but he knows his shit. People I know and respect respect majestics knowledge (hehe picture that ESPN comercial ...anyway) Not to say that CMR doesnt because I have no opiniion of them...cept that yellow CRX

Well I can tell you Ive heard lots of horror stories particularly about the Tampa Majestic - and seen their quality first hand. Waco Majestic ... eh so-so everybody talks crapola of course but shipping stuff sucks. All Im saying is give Charlie a call talk to him. Only costs you your time to do that. Charlie is very knowledgable as well and is more likely to sell you the turbo that fits you as opposed to the turbo that he has on the shelf - unlike most places. Some of his current repeating clientel are Z Fever Total Audi Performance Reeves Motorsports Spec R Tuning (he is right next door to us) Racing Zone Colins yellow CRX Daves 240/Silvia onefastB18c and a whole lot more. In short I think hes the best turbo shop youve never heard of.

Aaron go with the Garrett. You can get the turbo with the wastegate manifold o2 housing and hardware for the price of the Frank. And like Jeff said Replacement parts are cheap.

I dunno John I gotta disagree with you on this. Ive seen Daves work first hand and its damn good. He is slow right now which is frustrating but he will always take care of his customer. If he builds you a turbo and it doesnt spool where you want or make the top end power you want he will change the wheels or whatever it takes to get you there. Thats service.

Lets talk about real cars. Lets see Daves Turbo in a Mustang just set a new Pro 5.0 record. 7.55@189. He has a Corolla that runs 8.00 all day long. He had a bike that ran 6.10s on boost. The Pro VW Bug you see running at all the events going 7.70s is Daves turbo. And thats just the ones off the top of my head.

When Charlie has a resume like that maybe I will look a little more closely into it but I admire Daves knowledge and his ability to build just about anything you want. Its pretty unfair you pass judgment like that unless you have some solid proof to back it up.

Im gonna have to agree with John on this one. Charlie is the man when comes to Turbos. I know Majestics work first hand...and in my opinion CMR is the way to go. As far as the turbo itself go with GARRET...A friend of mine just had to replace his seals on a turbonetic turbo that is a month old.

Turbonetics uses Garrett turbos...as does Majestic. Well unless you have them build something else (Mitsu KKK etc.).
