Default Pre-Mature Exhalation....?

ok i posted about fluttering blow off while back and got a hudge reply out of it...now im finally runing turbo and now that i know its bad mine is doing it...go figure....
it mostly does it at low boost and spool and im runnig a greddy type s on a t25

Do i need to tighten the spring or lossen it?

second...im surging in the very end of my second gear and mid third at full open throttle....if my blow off spring isnt to the right tension as obviously its not could it be releasing boost and causing this or do i need to look into something else as the problem....

Go ahead and adjust the tension on it. I had a similar car with the same BOV, and adjusted it to where it would not flutter when I let off in low boost, and would not leak in high boost. It takes some time, but it's worth it.

Too much tension could be causing your surging. Hook up a boost leak tester to it, and disconnect your recirculation. You should be able to hear whether or not its leaking. Just make sure you open your throttle body, because your source for the BOV should be from the manifold. Do you have a good boost source that is not shared by a boost controller or other device? Do you have a boost leak tester? If you own a DSM and don't have a boost leak tester, you're going to wish that you did.

don't mean to stomp on the thread but I'm about ready to go in with my turbo and don't want the same shit. as for not hooking up the bov to a source that is not shared by any other device, how? on my engine the only boost line I have that is after the throttle body is for the map sensor, which is t'd for a boost gauge. what should I do? pm me thx

but would the spring being to tight or to loos cause the situation...im mannly trying to fix the flutter cause im pretty sure that the fuel filter is causing the surges....
