Default supercharged?

ok, i need some help here. comin up in may i mgetting 8,000 bucks from my sighning bonus, and i really want to supercharge the car. the engine in it now puts out about 380~HP, its a 358 ci with 9.5:1. the procharger system ive been lookin at puts it right around 550-600, or so it says, and i was wondering if you supercharged guys have any tips or ideas, or could give me a rough price for everything (SC kit is 2200 alone). also, is my compression too high?

what is sp?? I just put that because i am not sure the exact spelling and dont feel like looking it up.... But centrifugel looks like the turbo type.... Dont get as much hp gains as the roots type. But my father (if 400hp is reading) is building a 392 hemi with a bds blower and bds has their shit together. They have programs where you can hook it to the internet and they can tune it via the internet.... They do have their shit together. But the downside they are expensive. You can always get a weiland (sp again) they are good superchargers

hope this info helps

also what kinda boost are you expecting to run? what psi?

and another thing you would wnat to run a lower compression ratio actually detune your engine so when you put on the supercharger it makes it work harder which would put out more results..... That would be ideal for street use...

At least from my knowledge.....

anybody have opinions on what I said?
