civic99.
Chances are, if you change the ad to reflect the issues wrong with it, you could still likely get $165 - $200 out of it, pending on who really wants to buy it. In fact, being honest about the ad can sometimes hasten the process in which you sell it - because people LIKE sellers who are up front and honest about the condition of the things they are selling. No one will hate you for making a profit - that is capitalism, and if you can profit off of a less-than-mint item, props to you.
You should change it, and it will not only help your sale, but manning up and changing it will improve your stature (at least a little bit) among the regular P&G posters in here, and will make your future time on TR much more enjoyable.
And, "how does anyone know that I didn't fix it?"...I know nothing about photography, but that VR function doesn't sound like something you can just pop open and "fix", and unless you have documentation from a certified professional stating it was fixed with photographic samples to prove thus, you're only digging a deeper hole. Omitting a flaw is one thing, lying about it being fixed is worse.
Hope you have the sense and decency to remedy your advertisement, and therefore your forum standing. No one is going to hate if you admit you were wrong and update it. Do the right thing #feelsgoodman
