it was my first vacation there, and i too also love the mountains now! i will definitely be going back!

i was just there at the beginning of fall. It was real fun. Did you see the building that was made upside down?

 

thanks, 4 is my favorite out of those! and it was quite a trip to that spot!... we were driving around just exploring and we were like, were does this dirt road go? drove down it for a bit on hugging the mountain, thru trees and stuff, then it opened up and that lake was just hidden there! then, that duck swam right up to us as i was taking pics, he was very friendly bc he wanted my quackers.

are you talking about the wonderworks place? if so we i saw it but we didnt go bc theres one in orlando. or was it a different thing you're talking about?

I am going to the same cabins you went to, I can't find any info on white river rapids. ETC, ETC.

 

Yea i think thats the place. i never went in there either but it looked cool. I just spotted it along the way.

 

well, there's tons to do, i suggest when you get there, grab some brochures like a tourist and see what you like! as far as white water rafting, i remember seeing places like outdoor adventures, rafting in the smokies and usa raft around town..... however, i also remember driving out in the middle of nowhere, like around robbinsville nc and seeing some rafting places that looked cool. you can basically find just about everything/anything to do around the smokies like horseback riding, ziplines, hiking, caverns, ect.

we peeked inside the one in orlando but didnt buy tickets bc it looked cheesy.

well, we added it up and it was more like $400 in gas so it wasnt as bad as we originally thought, still not great though. and we used our tax money, so no savings depletion. and it was great, we will definitely be going back.
