Just ordered a 70-200 2.8.
I need to find a wider prime then a 16 for my 5D & I don't want a fisheye, just something wide but fairly fast too.

If you use any older programs (most people in my office like Word Perfect 11, ugh) then moving to 64-bit will cause you some issues. Otherwise you should be fine. If you have 2gb, and your video card is taking 256/512mb of RAM then you're really short changing yourself.

Windows 7 + video card + 4gb RAM + PS 64-bit will be a huge increase in performance. You really don't even need an expensive video card.

What kind of card would you suggest, I don't know anything about gfx cards lol. It would have to be able to run dual monitors and I would like to keep it around $50 if possible.

Can you "find" Windows 7 yet, or should I just stick with WinXP 64-bit?

I'm running this one and I've been pretty happy with it. It has enough power to play some games if I choose to do so. If you're not doing much in the way of 3d graphics you can likely go with a cheaper card.

As far as running two monitors, most cards can do it if you're using monitors that take different inputs. IE, my card is running one monitor via VGA and the other via DVI. If you have two VGA's it can get a bit more complicated.

With all the PC talk here are some pictures of my set up
Dual 19" monitors NON widescreen due to distortion on Ergotron stand.
V-card: MSI Twin Frozr 1G GeForce GTS 250 1GB This thing is HUGE.
CPU: AMD Phenom II X6 1090T Black Edition 3.2GHz six-core
Cooling: ARCTIC COOLING Freezer 64 Pro 92mm Ceramic with 5 fans total
Ram: G.SKILL 4x 4GB DDR2 16GB total
HD: 4 Hard drives for total of about 3TB
PWR: RaidMax 530w
OS: Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit

May seem like overkill for some, but sometimes Wrap files are more than 2GB.

Just built this about a month ago thanks to NewEgg !
