Even just messing around, they don't have to look like that. I could get more creative with a little 5mp P&S...

Now, those angles are just WAY extreme. You can find shots that have some angle, but it works for the picture and composition. Yours just had none of that, that's why they were garbage to be honest. So, hopefully you can look at some good, published pics of cars and such and see what we mean by all of this...Ya know?

Get a credit card from best buy and get yourself a DSLR or your choice...then pay it month-to-month. I see you want to get into photography, and it's great, but with P&S it is like trying to replace a tranny with only a set of pliers and zip ties. To get good results, you must use quality equipment, otherwise you will get negative comments about the photos (other than the photographer him/herself). Yes, you can take some sweet shots with $89 camera from walmart, but it is like day and night with DSLR. My $0.02.
