Okay, then why would you post them? As a photographer, if I think/thought my pictures suck, they aren't going up for the world to see. Just a thought.

I was told once by a wonderful wedding photographer, only post your best. If this is something you want to do, either for a living or a paid hobby, don't post something you don't want potential clients seeing. If someone looked at this and read that you think they suck, then what would make them come to you to shoot their car?

Just because you only had a few minutes to realize he wanted a shoot doesn't mean you can't get a great shot it.

^im not an expert and i never really planned on having a "career" out of it. i just took some pics and posted them. i thought some of them were good but as you said, they were out of focus and they were snap shots. which i totally agree on. my friend isnt a type of person with "patients" he didn't really give me any time to take a shot. he just wanted a bunch of pics at some locations just because he got his car going. these arent my best shots at all, they are only snap shots that i thought i would post for people to see.

Not for cars lol I don't shoot cars.

Really the biggest thing is just take your time. Look at your backgrounds, make sure poles are growing out of the car...things like that.

You know about shooting mid-day, so that's a mute point. Cars are tough so that's why I don't do them but most of these guys: Michael, Adam, Chris, Brandon and I know there are more can offer up huge advise about it.

You can check out the automotive section here too: MyCanikon - Powered by vBulletin

Lots of great advice from guys like James Evins, Will Stern, Jeff Creech just to name a few

exactly, if you wont have it much longer then why care about the wheels on it!? the hx's are white centers with polished lips and all are in perfect shape, no curbage or anything. just dirty
