Default Nikon 1200-1700mm

For anyone interested, 1200mm is what you need to fill the frame with the moon on a crop body. 1700mm may or may not see the man on the moon.

When new these were special-order only and apparently sold in the US$75,000 range. Nikon discontinued this lens in 1999.


From a F/S post on fredmiranda, in which the OP is asking $40,000 for a used lens.

Yeah this is pretty much a lens for the guys over at Nat Geo. Or NASA, I think its the Hubble for our cameras ha
