Yeah thats true about the AB's, but like I said, I've found theres only one way to service them and that deals with sending them away. Buying local supports many other factors and you will have MUCH less downtime, if not total replacement then and there.

Damn he sucks! lol I woulda been on top of that like ASAP no matter what!

He gets a lot of opportunities and seemingly just doesn't care...

He's been offered, and failed to collect on:
- Writing articles for Rangefinder and Great Output magazines
- Free trips around the world plus expenses in exchange for marketing photos for the tour company
- The aforementioned free Profoto gear
- Possible free Canon camera gear

He has however gotten us:
- Epson 2880
- Canon Pro 9500
- Free 4x6 prints from a pro lab... which we use for all our wedding proofs.
- Lots & lots of free paper
- Lots of free actions, textures, and software

I can't complain too much, because he's the one that gets all the offers and they only extend to me by proxy. But, it can still be disappointing.

OP, sorry to hijack.

Meh. Only one place you can send them for repairs, but do some research about Paul C. Buff, Inc. and their customer service. It seriously is the best I've ever dealt with. For example - I bought wireless triggers for my setup, and about six months later they came out with a new line (cybersync) - and I can trade in my old stuff for 100% of what I paid for it to upgrade. Also, they have a support forum that's staffed by their employees and the owner - they literally read the forum and answer questions multiple times a day. I really wouldn't go elsewhere after the experience that I've had.

This is a conversation for another thread, however.
