Default Polishing Wheels

So it has been about 15 years since I last did this. Back then we used aircraft stripper to remove the clear coat and then hit them with 3k wet sand paper, and finished by giving them a coat of mothers. Is there another, easier way of doing this? We are working on a set of LS Mesh's.

yea, use a courser grit sand paper, i start with like 1200, adn work up to 3000 or so, then use a high speed buffer/power ball and expensive aluminum polish. east wood also sells a kit that has like paste sandpaper and buffer wheels that i aluo use time to time.

Well I tackled them yesterday and they actually turned out really good. I removed all the old clear and paint with aircraft stripper and a pressure washer, sanded and painted then polished the lip. I was torn on leaving the meshs polished but the wife and I agreed we liked them better this way. LMK what you guys think.

Thanks, total it took about 4 hours. Not too bad considering this was the first time painting a set. I learned some short cuts along the way as well.
