It dont really matter if we go to J spec cause the same engine from Japan and same here in the states are same HP.
I would just have to change the harness to the A spec instead of the J spec. cause of it running on the wrong side of the car,and redo the brake booster line,What else are you thinking? These are just minor mods.No cutting or rewelding ,the engine is an exact drop.

thats what everyone says, but what till you get the engine they are not the same.. Intake manifolds are taller.. Turbo is larger.. Intercooler is larger. I measured all the parts just to be sure and they were bigger, by quite abit...Also you will have to add about 2 inches of injector harness, as it is too short to reach.

The swap is do able if you have all the Domestic parts you need.

Also you can score a race version for $750 and the power is rated 20% more @ 220 hp...

Blocks are the same, but thats about it.

also the engine pegged the stock boost guage @ 1500 rpms...

I got hook ups all over the net..I have not seen 1 J spec 13bT go for $750.
I never heard of any J spec race version, for a S4/S5 13BT I want to knwo where you got this info for,and whos car this is,cause every one I know who has done swaps from J spec 13BT to 20BT says that spec is no size diffrence and it wil go in with no problems besides what I stated,

Show me.

The j-spec version is better and more powerfuel. It spools up way too fast :o The intercooler is bigger. In japan they don't have emision like we do, so more HP and less stuff on the engine like we have.

Tony, measure the parts if you are so sure of yourself and then tell me if they are the same, cause I did and they are not. The intercooler is larger. The turbo is larger and the intake manifolds are taller..

Just call the guy and ask him if he has any race turbo engines, he may.. they are $750.00
