Keep your eyes open for a wrecked m3 if you want to do the swap.. i don't know of any motors locally if you keep your eyes open you will be able to find one. And it is easy enough to swap an s52 to obdI. Requires the OBD1 intake manifold (which supposedly flows better), wiring, and ECU. Not sure what else it requires but I believe there are certain companies that offer the conversion as a complete kit. AA Tuning should be able to give you all the info on the conversion.

thanks alot I found a wrecked 97 m3 4 door that has been hit in the side they want 5900 for it Im starting to think about picking it up and going from there. Im still not sure yet on what I want to do. Ive decided to stay away from supercharger Im really wanting to do turbo. AA is going to do most of the work I know that for a fact. im going to try tomorrow to get in touch with AA and see what they say about it all. As far as breaks go. I will probably sell all the m3 breaking components reason being is I will be upgrading anyways. I will probably salvage the rear diff because from my understanding the 325i doesnt have one. the m3 tranny will also be sold also reason being is Im wanting to go with a aftermarket tranny. better gearing. I want it to be set up to top out around 180 or so. Im hoping to have the project said in done in no longer then 1 year. I know I know along time but I figured it will give me plenty of time to do things wright. As the project progresses I will be taking lots of pics also will try to write up some how toos also. and if anyone wants to get there hands dirty they are more then welcome. heck if we get done in time maybe we can particapate in the tr car build for next year. I think we can give all the hondas and fords a run for there money

you don't need a different tranny to get the car to top out around 180 or so... just a different rear end. Not sure of the exact ratio but some of the big power boys run 2.8x iirc.

flow bench shows OBD1 intake manifold's flow nicer just to back what people may tell you, hittin a 6 speed tranny in there would be nice, easy to gear it for 180 and still drivability the rear end you might want to upgrade to a 60% lock lsd from kazz (sp?) they are supose to be hella strong and if your goin to put down some high numbers might as well, kagel autosales (sp?) can find the motor and tranny if your still looking
AA usualy says they can get all the parts to flip an obd2 to obd1 if needed
i know a few people that have had problems with their tunning though, but no ones that has had problems with their componets

off topic but 99TL i love that body style on your e34

appreciate it... diffsonline is a good place to source a used oem or custom differential also.
