Anyone actually drive one around. I've only seen one 914 and a silver 968.I'm pretty new to TR but I never see any Porche post's.I'm redoing my 914 with a turbo 2332, but also thinking about six boxer.I know I can get around 300whp from a 2332,but I have no idea what the six cylinders can lay down. Is it worth the extra cash?

 

shit i'd go for a porsche don't know if it'd go with the 914 or 944 or w/e b/c I think those don't have much potential and I don't think they're real porsche's either but pretty cheap compared to freakin 911s but gl man

 

12's 1/4 mile (11's with slicks) and 1g on the skidpad, I think thats pretty good.

 

ive been doing some research on the 90's 944's and 968's for a future purchase but nothing solid yet.... im leaning towards the 968 though.

 

I know the 968 came with the 5.4 that had more power(and top speed) than the 928. But I believe that the production numbers on the 968 were lower than the 928.The 928 gt still topped out at 171mph and had around 320hp, not bad for a 5 liter. In my opinion the 968 is the ultimate front engine Porche EVER!!! I envy you if you get one.

 

Sorry buddy, 968 has a 3 ltr inline 4 making about 230 hp and a little more torque (flywheel).

only the 928 S4 could reach 171 mph, besides carrera.

 

Damn, your right.I could have swore that the 968 had the 5.4 in it.Only from '92 did they start putting the M28/49(928gts) out.Ouh well, my bad.

Most of us porsche folk post in general car chat instead of the 'other' forum, and the all of the porsche 911 turbos are the speed limit kings for porsche, not the carrera.
