Im probably the silver 968 around that you saw. It has 3.0 4 cylinder producing 240hp stock.

Cool! I saw a silver Carrera last week with the tag "fastone" or something like that. I tried to get him to run, but I think he was paying too much attention to my badging and didn't consider me worth his time.

sorry im no redneck!

I just like muscle cars and old cars (was close to buying an early 70s/80s 911, no good deals). Im actually quite the Euro car fanatic and im looking for a BMW 3 or 6 series for a daily driver, or even a 944 (id give a left nut for a 928...).

-Keenan
glad i could have helped. But listen to this, all you need on a 944 turbo is a new turbo, a chip and an exhaust and youll push out 300hp EASY. There is a HUGE parts base for 944s, or you can half ass it and put a v8 in it (a 928 5.0ltr engine would be nice, but the LT1 conversion is more popular).

I had a 944 that I rebuilt that ran like a scolded assed ape. Forged internals, t44, 4 core intercooler, 30 over, steel sleeves, and a s2 trans, and eibell said it couldn't be done, SHIT...400+hp...Oh and by the way czech09, a 944 is definately a real Porsche BEOOOCH. "Porsche, there is no substitute."

A 944 is water cooled, so it's not a real Porsche .

I'm just messing around, if anything isn't a real Porsche it's a 914, seeing as how it is a VW/Karman project or whatever.

When I get up to Tampa, I wanna see your turbo project.

I have a 3.2 Carrera in mine, and I want to do the 3.4 upgrade, and then if I'm still not happy, make a little turbo kit for it.

But the frigin parts are too expensive. They want 4 grand for the piston and cylinder set, which is all I need, but still.

Oh, to answer your questions:

The six to me, is the way to go. But it can end up costing you quite a few dollars. By the time you get the motor, you may or may not need a front mount oil cooler, the six mounting bar, brake/suspension upgrades, it can run you a lot.

But, you can probably pick up a half way decent motor, the quick six bar, and put it all in for not that bad.

Check out 914club.com.
