That blower can't be that heavy, and transferring that huge paperweight of a stock battery to the rear would more than likely help that. Not a bad setup though. Probably is fun as hell with the 2.4

Yeah, I'd like to see that bracket kit in the $750 range, but that last 200 shouldn't break the bank. The M62 should be in the $300 range.

Someone needs to show me these $600 KA-T's. All I see is pipe dreams and Super Street mags with the pages stuck together.

This has been available for some time on KA-T.org in their supercharged forum section. The owner of the site is actually the creator of the kit. $950 is the "sale" price. This is the original site KA24DER.com - Because Supercharger Whine is Awesome . There is a link @ the bottom of that ebay page to it as well.

I've been following these supercharged KAs for a while now. One of the more extreme set-ups is one done by a guy that has a user name of Grantspec. He's even done a mega squirt upgrade and does autocross with it.
240SX.net • View topic - Grantspec's supercharged KA24DE coupe build w/ Megasquirt-II

The good stuff starts around page 11 or 12 along with a few vids...but you get the idea.

The supercharger is very much a heat pump...e85 would help a bunch and many owners end up doing meth/water injection. I have not seen too many do an intercooler as an option. Thats why I posted a thread in this lounge asking about it.

The kit is nice because its close to complete. This kit takes alot of the guess work and custom fabrication out of the equation. For the most part, supercharging as KA IS more expensive than your average turbo build...but not rediculiously so.

Hey man I'll show you a cheap parted together KA-T hopefully next year. after I buy a fmic, dp, o2 housing and 550 injectors, then small misc stuff mine will be like a $700 kit then plus a tune so probably a grand all together then I need another grand or 2 in my motor. Pipe dreams maybe but I have goals and I'm capable of doing this. Its just money money money. If this was easy everybody would be doing it, lolz

I had $1900 in my first kit. Then another $900 for a new turbo six months later. That was with no wideband, gauges, or boost controller.

These supposed $600 ka-t kits wont last very long.

Just wasted a LOT of time researching Laminova air-water cores, MP62's, and the unreleased Eaton TVS R900 which Magnuson is finishing. 300whp could be done easily, but it would ruin the straight cheapness of this kit. Ahh pipe dreams. How do you glue the pages of MotoIQ together?
