Default KA-T or SR20? Moved.

I have been contemplating this for a little bit and want to know the pros and cons of both set ups. I have a KA in my car right now with 130k miles on it. The main thing i want to know is what exactly would i need to convert my KA into a KA-T?

How much would it cost for each setup/How much work would it take?
I am some body work away from starting to do anything to the engine, so am looking for the cheapest way to put down 200+
If I missed any of the other possibilities then please let me know, these are the only two that i see in the 240's these days, so let me know.

s13 sr swap(1700), fmic(300ish), fuel pump(100), 3" cat-back(150+), downpipe an testpipe( i have these for sale,100) = 200whp+ AN ITS RELIABLE

you obviously are a newb, so best advice is keep it simple.

This is exactly what i was looking for! What about the turbo? I heard t28 ebay turbo's is a decent one, but is that my only option? Obviously i'm not going to put the biggest/most expensive turbo I possibly can. Thanks for the info ^ and for the fuel pump, should i go walboro 255? Because they are pretty cheap.

I've been piecing together a KA24DE turbo kit for a minute. S14 Garrett T28, bottom mount manifold, Megan o2 housing, 370cc injectors in SR fuel rail, n60 MAF, oil feed line, t fittings, oil restrictor and whatnot. Picked up my free parts tonight, Greddy FMIC core, plenty of piping (I think I'm gonna go mid mount setup) dude said it was a stock SR bov but it has a Mitsubishi logo on it and it looks like a 1G DSM bov. All I need is a tapped oil pan, oil drain line and water lines and a tune and I'm set. oh and I got 232/248 cams (budget power)

A stock KA block with good bearings, good headgasket and a good timing chain set can handle 10psi on a good tune and hold about 300hp for better peace of mind use arp headstuds and metal headgasket.

The only reason it would be deleted is because this is a topic that been covered for a long time. Not only doing a quick search on TR but on google, you'll find out the info you want. KA-T.org will have all your KA Turbo q&a's. Alot of people on this forum can get pretty serious with new users asking either dumb questions or ones that have been covered a million times and flame you and talk shit.
