for labor on blown head gasket

what im looking for is if theres any of you guys out there that would like to help. i can pay cash, i just dont have the workspace. or garage was converted into another room. and my neighborhood is strict when working on cars.


im looking for a price, i most likely will end up doing this myself, eventually..

if you are serious, and are a reputable member, shared_pm me
i want this dont asap, but if i was to do this myself, i dont know when it will get done. i gotta ffind workspace.

id like to be there to help.

i think nissan book calls for like 8 hours or some shit... not sure, but when i calculated it out in pay hours is was like 800ish, give of take $50 (i don't remember exactly), at a rate of like $84.75hr...

you can do it in your driveway pretty easily for the cost of the head gasket....

ya your kinda far, i heard of people taking multiple days with this job.
lets see what i end up doing with the car, im currently drinking so this post will be read in the morning

ps:marshall, i watched the vid in sig, and it ended up making me watch the top gear r33 and top gear r34 videos, then went on to watch multipe skyline related videos, and just like that, i spent another hour on youtube, lol

as far as the head gasket, multiple days? try like 4-6 hours with proper tools... i did one, motor out of car in like an hour and a half...

Yea man realistically it'll take you a day to do. that being said that's if your head is in good shape and doesn't need to be surface. but its really an easy task

i wasnt really thinking, well my boy is doing his on his ka pretty soon. we can do mine to im guessing, just a matter of when.

Most shops will charge around $1000 to replace a HG. I know a guy (lets call him joe) who was paid $700 to change a HG for another guy. Joe used that sealant stuff and it worked untill the owner had the oil changed. Lets just say Joe wont be using sealants to fix things anymore lol.
