yeah, that pretty much shut him up with the whole ZOMGTHEYSOLEGIT stuff...

but are the knock offs really all that bad? i mean, i see metal bracing, what seems like goof ABS/fiberglass... i mean, they gotta be better than your average Ebay seat, but not near as nice as actual bride..

could they be comparable to the lower end Corbeau seats??

IMO
Not really just due to the simple fact of R&D which all the major companies do because after all, your sitting in the seat and if the seat fails or is not designed or built like/or from what it needs to be it is not a good situation. Many people overlook that fact and think a seat is just a seat but its not. Lots of engineering and physics believe it or not comes into play. And knockoffs are known to wear/tear easily etc.

Brides still suck. Google video what happens to a bride seat in an accident. Recaros are a bit better but still iffy (reclinables only).

I've come to the conclusion that I'll only run OEM or Fix backed seats in my car.

Now think how a knockoff performs.

I'll take corbeau all day long over the knockoff brides, and probably over actual brides, factory style quick release recline mech vs windup knobs, i'll take the quicktilt all day long.

Edit @ longfellow: Not that i'm preaching either companies here because i'm rocking OEM's FTW.

But after researching those tests are very old, and bringing up why the seats move backwards, its to help with the absorption and transfer of energy from such a violent crash.

Ok, screw you, fawking zenki driver.

Now read this,

Read my post BZ, old vids, old products, physics and engineering to transfer force from such a violent crash. Now is it 100% spot on probably not.
