Default BOV hotpipe or coldpipe?

I researched and some places say it goes about 12in from the throttle body on the coldpipe but other places show them placed on the hotpipe close to the turbo. Where should a BOV go and why?

It all boils down to ones own preference. I cant exactly tell you why one side or the other. All i knows is that it sounds cooler on the hot pipe.

Its preference, based on how right you want to do shit. Cold side next to throttle body is obviously the way to go because air will never have to return flow toward the turbo (post closing throttle body) risking surge. The only way to do this without stalling issues is to run a map. Hot side is nice because its easy to recirc so your car runs smooth and 1/2 of the hotpipes out there are sold with a flange on the bitch already.

yeah I figured it was on preference for the most part. I definitely don't want stalling issues so I'm thinking of going hotside
