S13 Brake and starting issue's.
Ive put it off for too long.... its about time I ask for help on this
Im having a strange problem with my brakes, sometimes they act normal.
*mostly when its warm*
1.it's get very hard to depress the brakes sometimes
2. Some times my car acts a lil sluggish and I pry the brake pedal and it goes I presume it stick's
[Dunno if thats the proper terminology]
Ive done some poking around when adjusting my suspension and noticed some gunk around the calipers and I presume that there leaking which could cause some of the problems but also makes me think my Booster/master is going bad.
My second issue is that I noticed when it's Humid or Insanely hot like florida has been as of late
My car act's like a 5 year old and doesnt want to start. It will just *Click*
Fuel pump kick's on and there's fuel and Spark. Just click's
I've replaced the following and still no luck
-Ignition Switch (The piece by the key cylinder)
-New battery
-Checked grounds and the chassis resistance (1.8 Ohm's)
-Had the starter check at advance test better then normal
Ive replaced the Switch three times the
The first time thinking it was that causing the issue.
The second time was when the said "New" switch decide too melt the solder off
** Car's a 91 S13 with a KA with a lame ass Autotragic

the random clicking instead of starting, could be a list of things. I had a buddies car that would do that, it would click 3, 4, 5 times before starting. We never could figure out why. fresh everything. it all tested good. new starter. it just wanted to be dumb like that. I'm sure it had something to do with resistance built up in the old wires in the dash or something like that.
as for your brakes. Sounds like old fluid to me. And it sounds like the calipers aren't in the best shape. I would place on either rebuild/replacing them in the near future and making sure all of the old fluid is out of the lines and replaced with good fresh stuff.

I feel like your brake problem is due to a failing booster, if your calipers were leaking the brakes wouldn't stick and the pedal certainly wouldn't be to hard to press sometimes. You should still clean up the area around the calipers banjo bolt and watch for more gunk to develop. As for your starting issue, that could be associated with the main relay. I know that my Honda is prone to that issue, when it gets hot the ignition relay gets pouty. GL sorting it out.
I have a fair amount of surface rust on the booster but thats about it. I haven't seen any fluid leak around the booster.
Im most likely going to replace my fronts but how to you "rebuild" the rear calipers?
The cars 20 years old it prolly needs the whole system done.
