Now you hate JWT, what has HE done to you? I swear mattback, you are the biggest hater. You hate SE-Rs, you hate FWD, you hate small turbos that put down power, and now you hate JWT, I seriously dont get you.
And I dont know where you get off calling me a ricer. You need to grow up, seriously.

and im vouching and setting straight right NOW, that matt's car has never blown up. when i hear 'blown up' i think motor. matt's car has blown up a differential or two (they were all open diffs that are already weaker than LSDs), snapped a few axles (they dont make upgrades, and custom are $$$), and screwed up a few trannies (yeah its rough on them, they were non-turbo trannies (same ones as ka/sr/rb20 gearboxes all the same with minor differences). never has he had any problem with the motor as i recall in its one year time of running. handling the power was his problem, as well as stupid things like hoods flipping due to shitty latches, and thats about it.
serban, your car is very nice. the a/f u run is pushing it, i think if u just bought an extra hood or something and cut a hole in it, you would probably be fine since you will be getting more air and the temps will be considerably lower.
jwt, is for the basic/average user who wants to slap something in and make power decently. their not bad. however, they tune most of their programs really rich (which isnt that bad) but it is hard to tune it other wise and running rich loses alot of power. i would use jwt for ka applications under 400whp (jay runs this still with good results) and other similar setups. most of these guys on this board that are veterans have been in the business for a while and are all moving on to high horsepower numbers, which is why everyone thinks small turboes and low numbers.
congrats on your car serban it is nicely setup. just a few tweaks and a nice shiny fmic and you should be good to go.

it really makes a difference having a good flow across an intercooler. please, spend the extra $$$ and get that I/C front mounted. A greddy universal kit is extremely affordable. I can also recommend a shop in Sarasota that I feel would do good work affordably.

You fuckers whine a lot.
Matt makes power, stop being jealous
So much power in fact, he destroyed his driveline.
As far as I know, it was not Matt's built motor that blew up, it was his driveline.
What did you expect? I can't believe anyone would question Matt's intelligence on Nissans in the first place. It becomes obvious that none of you shit talkers have ever met him or talked to him about cars in person.
Oh and -
Dont make me come slap all of your asses around at the autocross AND the drag strip because the S-Chassis is where it's at

jesus christ i thought that the nissan forum was safe from flames bombs and everything
but you know what
i thought long and hard about my reply. i consulted my friends.
and in the end. i took it to a higher power.

I just havea few comments from what I have read here.
1. JWT does not suck and neither do stand alones. Those guys with RNN14 and S13 ECUs are fortunate in that Secret Services is able to reprogram these ECUs with new EPROMS. B13 and B14 (USDM) ECUs do not have this luxury. So far, JWT is the best choice for USDM B13 and B14 turbo cars. I do, however, agree that JWT tunes rich for safety and to not be held responsible. Andreas Miko in Miami has had great success with JWT ECUs and leaning it out a bit with an adjustable fuel pressure regulator. A S-AFC would work very well for this as well.
You say that having your ECU reprogrammed from 2,000 miles away is stupid. Isn't that what NISSDATA was going to do as well?....at least for non-local customers? The main difference between NISSDATA and JWT was that NISSDATA runs more aggressive timing and fuel curves and a leaner A/F ratio across the board. JWT now has an in-house dyno, so their tuning is going to start getting a little more aggressive in terms of A/F ratios.
To recap, I recommend NISSDATA for all S13 and RNN14 ECU owners. For B13s and B14s, go with a JWT ECU and a S-AFC and/or NISMO adjustable fuel pressure regulator.
2. I think Serban was running lean up top because he is still running a stock SR20DE (non-turbo) ECU.
3. The wideband O2 senors supplied with Dynojets are the not the most accurate in the world. They have been known to be off a bit. The most accurate are the 5 wire wideband O2 sensors made by Horiba and Motec.
4. Serban, congrats on the turbo install.
5. Matt knows a whole lot about Nissans...even more than me in some areas
He never claimed to be an SR God. That is my job
Matt is a VG God.
Good luck,

has a single se-r ran a 10 ?? i mean seriously that's pififul.
theres hundreds of hondas that are going fast, wy cant you guys do it.
oh wait youre too busy blowing motors up or not making any power because of jim wolf technology.
dont go crying about your transmissions either, i blow them up more often than you do and i just live with it and replace them. they can be built stronger. why not just convert to a hydro front wheel drive tranny from like a bluebird non turbo. those are stronger.
oh wait you guys are too busy listening to jwt. that's right

And JWT charges $100 to reprogram your ecu if you upgraded your injectors or maf. Not a bad price to pay. Everytime you want to adjust your own fuel maps you gotta rent the dyno so you can make sure your car wont go boom...hmmm
Oh and another thing, my car is a street car, its not an all out drag car, a JWT ecu is more than enough for my application. YMMV
