For this system the supercharger boost the engine at low RPMs until the turbos spool up, then the supercharger turns off. No drag

ya you cant just turn the thing off...

the belt is still connected to the pully which turns the whole thing

I would be better with one huge single turbo

Some can disengage the belt with... MAGNETS! or clutches have I been seeing also.

So there ARE ways of disengaging that shiz.
