Default SR20det idle problem. Please help!!!!!!!!!!

Ive searched online for this and there are endless threads about it and the main suspect is a dirty or bad iacv or tps went bad, but not in my case. When I am driving the car it is fine, that motor has bolt on mods and has been tuned (power fc). I have swapped and cleaned the iacv, check voltages for the maf, tps and other things along that line. When i drive and come to a stop the car wants to die, so i have to keep feathering the idle to keep it on. Now I did notice one day just from dicking around that when I let off the gas coming to a stop if I turn the fuel pump off(wired to a switch), the car will idle fine. Then of course once it runs out of fuel i turn it back on and it idles fine. I have also swapped out the fpr with a good one just to see, and still the same.

any input?

And no I have not hooked a fuel guage to it yet at idle to see the pressure but I plan to do so this week. Just wondering if anyone has had problems with this.

Sounds like a vacuum leak. I'm willing to bet your bov isn't recirculated and hanging open on de-accel.

anytime I have dealt with that problem and it wasn't TPS related, then it was a vacuum leak.

the fact that cutting the fuel pump off makes it better supports the whole BOV hanging open on de-accel idea.

My bov is on the cold side. I also have it hooked up to a vacuum block. Should I hook it directly to the intake?

Putting a bov on a cold pipe doesn't prevent it from leaking...

Oh man Jun, you got jokes... I like that. But if I remember right you were the guy already in the portojohn idk. My whole time in ATL I was trashed and burnt out

On a serious note I would say run your bov off of your brake booster vacuum but you're a hxc mother effer and have that mechanical brake setup.... So I'm stumped

An Apexi Power FC, SAFC or SAFC II isnt really a full tune. Its there to fine tune a proper tune in order to get the most bang for your buck. You cannot really expect the FC to replace a good ECU tune. That being said Hook your BOV up properly. Google a picture of a properly set up Blow off valve. Mine goes to my Intake and my car idols just fine. If the problem persists i would take a good look at all your Bolt ons to make sure they are all hooked up correctly and nothing is leaking.

If you car idols fine when the fuel pump is shut off until it runs out of fuel maybe your fuel pump is jammed on and constantly pumping gas into your motor? What pump did you go for and how did you wire it up? Pictures would be helpful so we can tell you where/if you went wrong.
