I'm going to leave this open even though I should lock it. Prove me wrong by not flaming and giving this kid helpful advice.
There are links to the complete factory service manuals in the sticky at the top of this thread. I don't really know how to simplify unbolting a motor mount much more... There are two nuts, one above the motor mount bracket and the other one that passes through the crossmember.
Are you talking about the stud that goes through the motor mount bracket? There's a nut the you loosen. If I'm remembering correctly when I pulled my KA I think the driver side was a pain in the arse to undo so I hooked up a chain to a tractor through the bucket and yanked the motor out and it tore the mount in half. I don't recommend doing that.
Oh jeez.
1. there is a nut on the other side where it "disappears into the body"
2. get a service manual
3. come up with 500 and you have like 2 options, otherwise you're stuck with a BS tuned ecu
4. 12
6. 250-450 depending on tune
7. nope, did you see the MAF near the filter?

the above picture is your average motor mount for a SR20/KA blah blah
As you can plainly see there is a big rubber block with a stud that appears to run through it.
Either side has a nut on the end. The top nut unbolts the motor mount from the motor and the bottom nut removes the motor mount from the car itself. you can either 1) Remove the top nut and pull the motor out of the car leaving the mounts in the car or you can 2) Unbolt the bottom nut from underneath the car and remove the motor mounts with the motor. (WARNING) The nuts round off very easy if done improperly so i recommend you use caution while un-doing these nuts because if you strip it you will have a very hard time getting it of unless you have a saw-zaw and a lot of free time.
The highest boost you can run on an SR20 without a tune is 12 lbs. i do not reccomend doing this however until you have the money for a respecable tune. There are many horror story where people up the boost using a manual or electronic boost controller and it spikes boost and ruins your motor or detonates melting your piston heads. However it will be the best 30 seconds of your life when your SR decides to haul ass at 20 pounds of boost -.-
I hope youre not planning on tuning this yourself. i would recommend going to a shop and having it done properly. it may cost a pretty penny but its cheaper then a new SR.
A KA Trans will hook up to an SR bell housing allowing you to use your KA shifter if that is what youre asking.
There is much Speculation on what the stock SR block can handle. I have yet to take my block this far and i dont know anyone at the moment that has but the most common answer i receive is around 500 WHP. but i have heard tales of over 600 from glen at vision performance. *Shrug*
No SRs do not use a MAP sensor.... why would you ask in your first question if "The MAF isnt reading" If the car has a MAP sensor?
I hope i was helpful.
