Just wondering about my car
OK, say my car was for sale.
1991 240SX Fastback , Black
Red top SR20DET
S15 Turbo manifold
HPI Front mount intercooler
HUGE radiator, with outlets on the correct side
Blitz SS BOV
Spec Stage III clutch
Autometer boost gauge + pod
GReddy PRofec B
GReddy Turbo timer
Nitto NT-555s on the back, Falkens up front (GRIP!)
GReddy 3" downpipe
(No exhaust)
All this, and as stock looking as it came from the factory. No aftermarket body parts or wheels. SERIOUS sleeper.
Runs perfect. Body is in good shape...some scratches.
Would you pay $7000 for it? Considering there is much more invested in it?
No flames, just wondering.

Thats all right
I just wanted to know. There's a job in Tampa I might be taking and I would be considering getting something better for the trip there and back every day for a full time job.
Time to just get a daily driver.

I have already established I could get 7K for it.
It would take a while but holding out, I think I could. Especially of someone can appreciate a "real" car without a big wing and fozzle nozzles.
I'm keeping it, I put way too much work into it anyways and it's what I've always wanted. I'm thinking about picking up a 98 (newer/older?) Acura 2.3CL. I love those...I need something to put a system in.

That's why you do like I did. Buy a 2nd car to drive all the time that is bone stock and reliable.
What I would say to you about selling it is this:
Most people might "say" they would give you 7K for it, but that's a totally different story than trying to come up with 7,000 cash for it. A bank will probably not loan more than about 2,000 for your car so that would leave someone with having to make up the other 5. That's a lot of cash to come up with, especially since most people that the 240's are popular with won't have jobs that give them that kind of money. I would say you'd probably end up selling the car for 5-6 if you did well.
People don't realize that when you dump a ton of money into a car you won't get it back out. This is why I plan on just keeping mine. And if I ever did decide to sell it, I'd take the motor out and part out everything. You'd get more of your money back that way.
But I thought you built that car for 6800?

Well...the car itself was $2500. I must have given you the wrong amount because I know I spent more than $4300 on the swap and all the accessories.
