Sr20det ecu question
I have a bone stock redtop sr, my stock ecu took a shit and I replaced it with a "tuned" ecu that I picked up on here some time back. I don't know exactly what it's tuned for, the only thing the guy I bought it from said was it was tuned for a stock sr running 8-10 psi of boost. I'm still running stock boost, but it smells like it's running too rich (even for an sr). Could this be caused by the ecu being tuned for higher boost? Will it help the issue if I go back to a stock ecu?

Wideband, will tell you your afr. It might also be tuned for different injectors...
naw, it sounds like one of those "stage 1" ECUs, ya know, tuned for exhaust, FMIC, rev/speed cut, usually 1 bar boost etc etc...
i had one, it was sweet, just upped to boost to like 12-13psi and rode out...
My thoughts as well, probably S15 Injectors
I had a customer that had 550's on his engine set, we thought the ECU was tuned for them since it came with the set but it wasnt.
Started up and drove but ran rich
EDIT:
But then again that would probably make it run lean.
seeing that due to bigger injectors the Fuel Inj, Duty Cycle will be lower due to higher flowing injectors

I wouldn't drive with any old ecu in my car unless I knew exactly what it was tuned for... not too bright imo.
