Help, please.
to start this isnt my car im helping a friend.
he has an '02 nissan maxima with a 3.5 v6.
recently it started missing really bad, we checked it at an autozone they said it was the #5 cylinder misfiring, and to change the plugs, so we did only to find that the #5 cylinder is covered in oil, and its still misfiring. any ideas what this could be and how to fix it cheap as possible?

The gasket in the spark plug tunnel is probably leaking. Buy a valve cover gasket set and change them. That would be the easy fix.

Thanks for the help guys new gaskets were put on an its running much better now. The CEL is still on and the computer still says the cylinder is missing. Is that jus an old code, and how do i get that cleared?
Try unplugging the pos terminal on the battery and pumping the breaks a few times, that should clear out the codes if they are just hanging out in there. If they stick around you might need to look in to it a little more.
