nickel mod
i need help doing the nickel mod on my dual cam... i have a rust hole on the bottom on the tube connecting the header to the tube. and i have sweet tractor noises from from it and its pissing me off so if any one want to come by my house and help me out that would be nice. oh and i used pb blaster to the max on this shit and i rounded it so yea.

Lol, sounds like you need to do the "take off the header and weld the hole shut" mod.

Yeah, I understood what you're asking. I've done the nickel mod. But if you've rounded off the nut and it's rusted in there, you're going to have a real hell of a time doing anything. I recommend taking the header off and welding it shut.
Actually I recommend spending $75 and getting an eBay header... lol

Also, I would just remove ALL the egr lines and stuff off the motor while you're in there. Gets rid of that pipe behind the head all together. Get this too:

I guess I like removing things... lol. Nickel on both side works too.
$10 saves you from having to fight rusty old things quite so much though.

lol ebay header that actually sounds like a good idea.
im probably just gonna weld that shit shut. but when i take off the header how do i remove the egr pipe thats still stuck on there?
