Default S13 electrical issues... anybody had this?

My first Nissan ever... 92 240sx.

So everything is pretty much in order with the car except a few bugs. I haven't spent anytime investigating for myself yet, just thought I'd throw this up, maybe it's common.

I step on the brakes and everything comes on as if I turned my lights on (except headlights).

Also, occasionally after I've had the headlights on, the driver's light stays on when I shut them off. I hit the dimmer switch and it goes out after the high beams flash.

ok, so while I was installing the clutch and brake pedals, I found the culprit... a broken brake light switch. The brake light issue is gone, but the headlight issue remains. I think the light/signal switch is garbage.

anybody have one?

^No, I was wrong... the problem persists.Yes my headlight motors do not work.

I think I also have a faulty multi-switch (turn signal/high beam) If I fiddle with it, the drivers headlight comes on/off. Maybe both issues are related

Still an open issue guys, any suggestions?

Sounds like the Head light Stalk switch (the blinker head light switch) You can easily remove it and open it up and clean the contacts with some sand paper and see if that helps.
