I know I really want to get another 4.36 soon.

No really, even on the 245's his car dusts the rear tires eaasssily, and so smoothly its retarded.

I was talking about back when we both had stock KA's last year. Chris's car is just retarded smooth in general. Which is why I'd venture to say its the one of the nicest 240's out there.

245 nexen =/= 245 nt01, just sayin.
ive got a 180sx vlsd, 4.3 gearing, and it seems to work well, but after constant abuse it may be getting a little weak, but for autocross and "spirited" driving it hasnt let me down. drifting, it gets a little shitty and could lock more, but whatever, small trade off to not have a lot of noise and clunking in a street car.

Yes the specifics of the tire are important, but seriously, with all the rear suspension arms completely on sphericals, its extra slick under wheelspin, no wheelhop ever with this thing, just ohh oops i've got wheelspin.

Which car are we talking about now? Epsteins car doesnt have one spherical bushing on it, unless you count the spl tie rods.

OMG to the Shiavo comment...lol.

Seriously though, I know what you're saying about the parking lot issues with the welded diff. A buddy of mine ran one and all you hear is squealing thur the lots. Plus there is the issue they tend to have in the rain (fun as it maybe).

They [welded] seem crude but get the job done I guess. Finding a 4.36 is proving to be a little bit of work. I held out for a 180sx HICAS steering rack...i guess i'll need to do the same for the Diff. Perhaps in the mean time i'll see about those aluminum z32 uprights.

You have just a 240sx HICAS rack. Your car isn't RHD

And welded diffs suck for anything other than track use. It's cool for the first month, then it gets really old, really fast.

Check ebay for a 4.3 diff. They pop up on there pretty frequently.
