I had a gasket go bad on my rb25 when I was running the stock intake manifold. The 6 ring rubber gasket that goes between the 2 pieces of the intake manifold was slightly torn causing it to idle high as hell like you are describing.

Check that area with your hands while the car is idling. Check good.

 

the car has an isis intake plenum with a cometic gasket. ive checked vacuum leaks and sprayed ether by all the gaskets and vacuum lines and the idle doesnt change. so im thinkin my aac motor is just shot

 

Stock RB vs Q45

If there is extra stuff on the right side of the Q45 where that little whole is you need to take that stuff off. It's high idle stuff that needs coolant to run through it unless it's removed. If you search around there should be a thread somewhere on how to take it off.

The TPS is normal. I'm pretty sure the front part is for cruise control. I think. but that's how mine looks too.

 

yeah there nothing that goes to the plug on TPS, so dont worried about that.

thanks for all the help guys. i didnt realize the difference in size of the tb's was that big lol. but i definately have a stock tb. and i think the idle problem is the iacv. because if i unplug the plugs on it the idle doesnt change at all. but if i pinch off one of the 2 hoses going to it the idle drops. so i think the aac motor is bad. anybody know where to get a cheap rb25 aac motor?
