RB20 Question... Oil cooler?
Does the RB20 come stock with an oil cooler that is normally mounted on the radiator support?
Trying to figure out WTF this is, and I'm almost certain its an oil cooler. There are two lines that run from somewhere below the motor(I have no lift) and they run through a filter(Nissan part no. 4983604U00) then into an aluminum tube that is shaped into a square mounted on the radiator support. There is no AC installed on the vehicle(it's an R32), and it is not the GTR.
They're rotted, so I plan on replacing it, I just kinda wanna know what it is before I go taking it apart.

looks like a power steering cooler that the s-chassis have...
you said it went through a filter? what kind of filter? if it was oil, then the lines should be coming out right at the oil filter.
its weird because most coolers are more like little radiators than just a tube. oil coolers, automatic transmission coolers, are all radiator styled...

scroll down a little bit, it says that those lines are your power steering lines.

thoes lines run to the rear hicas rack for your all wheel steering system

my lag is your courtesy head start
ATTENTION.... installing a head gasket, head studs or pistons and rods in your otherwise STOCK engine dose not make it a "built" engine! stop listing you cars for sale saying they are built when its not!!

Hmmm... I was under the impression that the car did not have HICAS. It has coilovers all the way are around, and I was under the impression that coilovers mess with the HICAS and it has to be removed? Could this still be used just for the main powersteering?

from the pictures you posted and the pictures in the how to remove the hicus, it appears that it has already been removed from your car...
read through that link I posted, check out the pictures and what not. It'll tell/show you what you need to know
