Why don't you just leave it stock? What do you gain from running a 240sx intake manifold?

not tryin to argue, just getting a persecutive on it as all I had a stack of notes, but haven't ever actually done it.
You could do that, but the average Joe wanting to run a 240sx manifold probably doesn't have the know how/resources to do so.

Cleanliness, maybe ease of running an intake pipe? Not really much other than that.

No, the KA powered trucks were never carb. They are all fuel injected, with a top mount throttle body instead of frontal mounted one.

The earlier hardbodies (z24) were carb, then fuel injected with the z24i/ka24e.

no offense to the average joe, but does it really take that much know how to cut the un needed plugs off, tape up exposed wires, and run new ones? Maybe I do take the ability to think for granted...

and I thought the 240 manifold flowed better... some forums that come up with you search for info on the manifold swap have people saying the manifold swap makes like 20 more HP... I don't know what the trucks put down stock, so I don't know if it is even a reasonable claim... hell, that 20 hp probably just comes from a non-leaking intake manifold gasket....

^ im not sure on the flow...

Main reason im trying is cause the 240 manifold came with the truck for free..

the Stock one is missing tons of shit like the EGR, all the vac lines, canister. breather assembly...

and the truck runs horrible with the original manifold... So im trying to get a manifold all together to make the truck drivable..

it runs like a rotary now... and has no power...

my new hatred for Nissan has started.. Parts for this truck are impossible to find...

But its not nissans fault for some fool ripping everything off before I could get to it..

about to start looking for another RWD swap.. Preferably not nissan So I can get it to run right.... maybe if I had allot of money a F20 swap...

im no average idiot... I can run new wires and what not.. Just wanting to know what has to stay and what has to go...

I did a Multiport Conversion on my old CRX and that was cake work.. there is just not enof info on this setup...

it isn't a very common thing... people that are into nissans are either driving 240sx's or 300zx's everything else falls into the "not common" part of car building and tuning.
That's one thing that you're gonna have to get used to coming from the honda world. on the honda side, pretty much everything has already been done and a write up has been made on it somewhere. With this truck, you have to figure it out. If running the wires and what not isn't that big of a deal, then get a 240 harness and ecu and go from there. That might be the best/easiest route for you given your back ground. Once you have that all set up, then you can treat your motor as if it was a 240 which should open up a lot of information for ya. Getting the manifold on and running is going to be mainly up to you to figure out. That link I posted up top should guide you through most of it, or at least point you in the right direction.

no the intake manifold doesn't add any flow/hp. Its the cams that are different and causes the power increase from a truck motor and car motor. I went through all of this stuff when I was driving my d21. It turned out that 90% of the stuff posted is horse shit.
