And how do you plan to watch the manifolds on a Z32 when the motor is in the car ? Have you ever looked inside a Z32 engine bay ? You would be hard pressed to find the exhaust manifolds or the turbos - its PACKED in there and covered with heat sheilds. You can't tune a car by "looking" at how hot the exhaust manifolds get. Thats the exact "shade tree tuning" i am warning against.

What do the TT's run stock in the 1/4? I raced one last night in my stock 5.0 and won but I'm pretty sure the guy missed 2nd gear. Also whats the stock hp and torque??

 

300 hp and 283 lb-ft

the most common time i see for a stock ztt are between 13.8- 14.1 (car and driver ran a 13.8 as well)

 

actually richk in austin ran a 13.5 in his when it was bone stock.

 

well, his car wasnt tecnically "bone stock" it had an intake ... then he ran a 13.4 @ 106 with intake/exhaust

i was just giving the most common times not the best i have seen

 

most people in FL would probably run low 14's.

 

im not sure where i read this but i read that z32 had 300hp but then they changed a bunch of shit for emissions and maybe cut the fuel down some and brought it down to 286hp but not sure dont quote me i think this was in 90 to 92
