I know I posted this once before, but I cant find the thread now. So what local shops do sr swaps and do you know the prices? I just want a stock setup, nothing extreme. And forget about zfever... their prices are insane... I could just buy a car already swapped for as much as they want.

 

Diy, if Bearback of all people can do an SR swap, surely you can. And I dont even know you. lol

 

 

I'm sure I could, I've done other swaps on other cars... but I'm not sure I have the time for it this time... worse comes to worse I will. Any local shops carry the engines or clips?

 

talk to RB240mike, he's the man to talk to about motors and clips. he had a thread but i think he deleted it.

 

Because he fails at selling, and as he said, doesnt want to bother with stuff for only "marginal profit", which translates into, "if you arent bending over and letting me tear you up raw and dry, im not gonna bother, theres someone else I can be fucking over"

 

Rb240mike got me a good deal. Even if it costs you a few hundred more its much nicer to be able to see what you're getting in person than ordering from canada or whatever. Sr swap is super easy bro. If I had the time I'd come down and throw it in for a lot less than any shop but I'm sure there are a few guys on here willing to help you out.

 

SR swap is cake. Just take your time and make sure you have adequate funds/spare parts in case something goes wrong. Budgeting yourself is key. If you want to pay a shop. S&R Performance and zfever are two of the bigger names in Tampa. There are also a whole host of other shops that do these swaps in the "shop forum". I'd personally do it myself for more reasons than one.

 

Buy the motor, throw it on a truck, drive your 240 to my garage and let me and my crew of misfits swap it for you for 200 bucks. if you wanna do that just PM me and ill send you a list of all the crap your gonna need.
