need help with my electrical
did you not see what i put in the begining? The car drops power when i try to turn on my headlights. I even ran jumper cables from another car to my battery terminals and it was still doing the same thing. I am pretty sure its not my terminals. Does anyone think it could be a relay of some kind because i already checked my 75amp alt relay and as a matter of fact i have checked all my relays and fuses and grounds. Worked on it for about 7 hours last night going through all my grounds and fuses. Still really confused. Thanks for everyones input so far any more help would be appreciated.
Sigh.
Turn your headlights on. Measure across the battery. if >12v, battery is ok.
Then, get an FSM, and start tracing the path from the battery to the headlights. Once you drop below 12v, you've found the problem area.
The "car" dropping power, and the battery dropping voltage, are very different indicators.
If you've checked your battery, relays, fuses, and grounds, then your electrical system has to be working, since thats all there to it. Obviously, you've missed something.

Mine did that one or twice and it was actually the power cable where it connects to the starter was just loose enough where it wouldn't make a good contact. I just cleaned it up a little bit with a wire brush.
