Ok man.. and why exaxtly are you takin the head off ? Man.. I dont like selling motors for disassembly purpose.... Head gasket does not need to be upgraded unless you are doing turbo.

? No man... who told you that ? You can get a good 320-350 to the ground with the stock one on there. You are tearing down the motor for a head gasket ? Geez..... Who is advising you on this thing (the whole SR swap)? Sorry to bust your balls but it seems like someone is telling you to do a whole lot more than you need to and might be making $$ off you in the process. How much are you being charged to put this motor in ?

btw.. does your guy know about the electronics issues associated with the swap ? cause if not he is gonna be tinkering around with it for a long long time. If he has never done an SR swap he is gonna run into a lot of snags. Looks like I need to sit down and talk this shit over with you guys.

My mechanic knows the deal. Dont worry about him. I am mechanically inclined but was under the impression the head gasket didnt hold up well after 12 PSI. I got some bad advice no one is making money off of me except the people I bought the head gasket from. Im going to sell it ASAP. Well talk more on Tuesday when you come down here.

sure get a metal headgasket

if your headgasket blows it is a sign of you fucking something up in the tuning process in my personal opinion.

you wont know youre running poorly orl ean or something
instead of blowing the headgasket.

you put a hole through your aluminum thin block.

I dont know much as far as tuning goes

But my setup will be virtually the same as most others do when swapping a red top into a USDM S13 (FMIC fuel pump downpipe test pipe exhaust). I just keep thinking it would feel great to get my $260 back for that head gasket But then again if I was ever feeling like a baller and decided to upgrade the turbo I would regret it. Not sure what to do!? Already have offers on the gasket.
