Default s14 chassis wiring

Ok I am new to s14 240's...This may be a simple stupid question, but I need to know it

I bought an s14 shell so you know how those go its bitch figuring everything out....

Anyways. Passenger side floor right corner. There is a silver small box mounted plugged in (what is that?) but below it is a white plug that has nothing plugged into it, the plug looks like it has a locking latch. Anyone know what this is for?

I thought it was for the ecu but I went to plug my s14 ecu in and the plug was to small (then I also remembered the car doesnt have a motor or engine harness in it currently)

So what is this mystery white plug? and what plugs into it.....

Any help is appreciated!

that white plug sounds to be the plug for the engine harness F3 plug. thats how the engine harness gets all its power, blah blah

the silver box sounds as though the car was originally an auto and it would be the seperate ECU for the auto transmission

yeah, the white plug sounds like the plug the engine harness would plug into...

if the car was automatic, that is what that silver box is...

for any better of an answer, you'd have to post up pics
