snip mod / auto ecu swap?? question

Default snip mod / auto ecu swap?? question

has anyone done these mods for removing speed limit and higher rev limit??

any problems?

Yeah... not joining up to read that, but unplugging the 5th and 4th gear speed sensor will remove the speed limiter.


And you shouldn't need to rev a stock KA past normal limit.

ya why would you need to go past the rev limit isnt it somewhere around 8k

its mostly for the top speed limit removal. but if you can shift a little later and have slightly higher rpms you may just shave a fraction off your times

so your dragging this im guessing?

also in my basicly stock sohc w. an exhaust i hit like 135 (using a gps for speed ofcourse) and it was still going up ever so slowly but none the less.

just, just get a automatic ECU.... no fuel/rev cut... well i think it'll cut, but at like 180mph or some stupid shit like that...

and +1 on pointless to drag a stock KA

ok well i'll just race my car on the streets if that makes you feel better. oh and i'll do all my drifting in downtown tampa, during rush hour. and i'll have TR stickers all over my car.

seriously, im a college kid who is obsessed with cars and driving so im smart enough to race on the track. but when i do that, you guys give me shit. and mike and BZ, i only have good things to say about your cars/builds, but im sorry i dont have any money as of right now to build a 10sec 240. until then im going to keep learning as much about my car and others- so when i do have money, i can do things right.

thanks for the props on my car/build bro!

what we're trying to get at, is that dragging a stock KA is pretty much pointless... as your times will ONLY be around 15.5-16.1.... i ran a 16.11 and i had every N/A bolt on possible, and every little shortcut trick in the book done... with the exception of the Auto ECU, which i hear has a slightly hotter timing/fuel map (i can't be certain though).

it's kinda pointless cause thats about the best numbers you're going to get... unless you're challenging other KADE NA builds.. then it get's kinda fun!!
