ok. so my turbo is screwed. compressor wheel randomly decided it was gonna have a shiload of shaft play, and fuck shit up. when i bought the car i was told it had a R34 GTR turbo. then i was told it was an S14 T28, then a S15 turbo, then a GT2871R. so now that i got pics i want to see what kind of turbo it actually is, becaus i know there is a good amount of people on here that are very knowledgeable with turbos. heres some pics:

oh is there any shops around the area that would fix/rebuild the turbo? its not smoking or anything at all, nor is it spitting oil or anything like that. its just the shaft play, and then the compressor wheel got kinda shredded a little bit. (you can see the damage in the pics.) i really dont want to get another turbo because this turbo is fucking awesome.

 

if it's a DBB you're pretty much screwed.... which it is....

Garrett doesn't sell rebuild kits for their BB turbos. only the journals..

 

FUCK. oh well. ill prob. just buy the one off of zilvia.

oh and i was told it had an upgraded compressor wheel. which i think is true. because look at the pic of my turbo then look at the one BZ posted.

can anyone verify this?

 

r34 stocker .. i managed to squeeze 334 rwhp out of one of those on a sr... don't ask how... i do not know to this day
