If you don't have comprehensive coverage, they wont give you anything for modifications done to the car. You have to show reciepts for everything if you want to get any money for those parts. Even then, the comprehensive coverage only covers a certain amount of money/mods. I think Allstate only covers suspension and wheels up to $1000. Im not sure what your insurance carrier covers, they all differ slightly, but are based around the same guidelines.
Comp doesnt matter, it was the other drivers fault, its them that has to pay, you can get paid for what you've got on the car, you just have to fight it out with them, there is no limit to what they will pay other than the persons actual coverage (probably $10,000) "market value" usually helps, its just not going to help out awesome right now since the market is at somewhat realistic levels now.

We can see the difference, the thing is, it was pretty shitty before, and got even shittier. Its like trying to compare a pile of stiff solid shit and a mushy messy pile, either way you've got shit.
